Mark Griffiths is currently exhibiting a solo exhibition at Ffotogallery showcasing his project An Incremental Demise, a body of work supported by Arts Council Wales that studies the loss of green spaces across the UK.

Based in Cardiff, U.K., Mark is an accomplished freelance photographer whose work spans social, environmental, historical, and political narratives. He earned a degree in photojournalism from the University of Wales/Trinity St David in 2013, followed by an MA in documentary photography at the University of South Wales in 2022.

His portfolio has gained international recognition, with exhibitions at prestigious venues including London’s Mall Galleries and the DNG Gallery in Los Angeles. Notable achievements include winning selections at the Antiparos Photo Festival for his acclaimed series A Swim into the Wild and a professional photo essay award at the Moscow International Photography Awards for his documentation of children affected by the Chernobyl disaster.

Mark’s reputation has led to commissions from leading outlets such as Channel 4, The Telegraph Magazine, The Smith Journal, The Guardian, The Financial Times, VICE, and the BBC. He has also brought his creative vision to commercial campaigns for the National Lottery, Vodafone, Cancer Research UK, and Disney.

Most recently, Mark was named a winner in the British Journal of Photography’s Open Walls exhibition held in Arles, cementing his standing as a photographer whose work resonates both nationally and internationally.
